Mark Kropczynski is the Executive Chef at THE US GRANT, a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Diego, CA and the hotel’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant, The Grant Grill. Having discovered a liking for professional cooking at age 15, Kropczynski has since traveled far and wide along the California coast to develop his impressive talents.
His travels invited many opportunities, including a collaboration with culinary beloved, Julia Child, and the legendary French Chef Paul Bocuse during his time in central and northern California.
Most recently, Kropczynski was awarded “Chef of the Fest” at San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival on November 19, 2016 and we are excited to spread word about Mark, a chef who has incredible promise to help strengthen San Diego’s stance as a

We have two kitchens one which services banquets and one for Grant Grill.

The Madrid Premium Cotton Chef Coat – it has a classic look and is a great value.

I started working as a Dishwasher when I was fifteen.
5. Your Favorite Cookbook:
The ART Culinaire series is visual and I use them as a creative spark.
6. Favorite Dish To Eat:
Uni and Chanterelle Pasta, Sautéed Foie Gras, Grilled Kurobuta Pork Fat.
7. Weirdest Thing You Ever Ate:
Horse Meat Sashimi, Fugu, Squirrel, Snake, Alligator, Balut, I try almost everything.
8. Favorite Ice Cream Flavor:
Jamoca almond fudge.

Gainey, Cabernet Franc.
11. Who Would You Most Like To Cook For:
The Pope because he seems like such a down to earth person and you never know, I might need some help in the future.

Anybody on some fad diet. (vegan, gluten free, false allergy, etc…!!!!)

Work hard/play hard, hockey, lobster diving and fishing. I love the water even when it frozen.

My boat “No Complaining”.
